Edmonton teachers showered with flowers

Thanks to Inside Out Chiropractic Centre, some teachers in Edmonton are receiving bouquets from students, parents and community members. The bouquets come with a thank-you card from chiropractor Dr. Jason Sabe that reads: “Thank you for all the time you have dedicated to enriching the lives of our future generations.”

Hardisty Junior High School students Laurie and Theresa Holmes decided to nominate their math teachers. “I nominated Mr. Yardley because he really takes the time to help us learn,” explains Grade 8 student Laurie Holmes. “He holds tutorials over lunch that are fun and interesting.” Her sister, Theresa, says she nominated Mr. Chang because he explains things in different ways until she understands. “I was confused about integers,” adds the Grade 7 student, “but then he taught us to draw cubes—now I get it.”

“We want to acknowlege teachers for the incredible work that they do,” says Robyn Sabo. “Teaching is very physically demanding work; we see a lot of teachers here.”
